Ganesh Utsav Samithi discusses arrangements for smooth conduct of festival

Hyderabad: Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi (BGUS) had a Coordination meeting at Bhagyanagar on Tuesday with Minister of Transport Ponnam Prabhakar along with other important Departments of Govt. of Telangana and discussed the arrangements/modalities to be provided for smooth conduct of 45th Bhagyanagar Samuhik Ganesh Utsav festivities in twin cities and other adjacent districts from installation of puja of Ganeshji on September 7 and culminating with grand samuhik immersion procession and nimajjanam at Vinayaksagar on September 17 (Anatha Chaturdashi).
The Samithi demanded that the GHMC immediately repair all roads, both main and interior roads where the Ganesh pandals are going to be installed, proper electricity, streetlights, sanitation, preparation of ponds for immersion with removal of wastes and deepening the ponds, provision of water, food facilities all through the immersion routes and continue the same even on next day of Immersion till the Last Idol is immersed at Vinayak Sagar in order to have smooth conduct of festival.
The Samithi also demanded that the RTA provide sufficient vehicles in time so that the Immersion procession is completed on September 17. The Samithi also demanded that the SCR run MMTS, RTC and Metro facilities entire night of September 17 immersion day in order to reduce inconvenience to Devotees participating in the immersion processions. Samithi also demanded provision of sufficient parking facilities near to Vinayak Sagar and other immersion centers so reduce difficulties for devotees attending the Immersion processions.
It was agreed that "Ganesh Action Teams" will be set up at 34 centers for smooth co-ordination at twin cities and adjacent Districts like Rangareddy, Medchal and so on. It was agreed that an Intimation to Police Department would be sufficient for Installation of Pandals with Location and so on instead of specific approvals from Police departments.
It was also agreed that Electricity for the pandals would be provided free of cost and will be borne by the Government of Telangana. The cultural programs would be organized to promote Dhaiva Bhakti and Desha Bhakti at various locations of Bhagyanagar and at nearby District Locations.
The Minister and his team assured to provide full support for the successful conduct of 45 Bhagyanagar Samuhik Ganesh utsav festivities this year. The Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi representatives G Raghava Reddy, president, Rajavardhan Reddy, general secretary, Karodimalji, advisor, Dr R Shashidhar, secretary, K Mahender, secretary, Sriram Vyas, Treasurer, . M Vaikuntum, vice president and other representatives of Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi raised several issues with their past experiences. Officials from Government side agreed to look into these issues and assured to sort out the same from central to Local levels in all departments for smooth conduct of 45th Bhagyanagar Samuhik Ganesh Utsav festivities at Twin Cities and nearby districts on September 17.
